You will be introduced to the best of the best, easy-to-grow flowers with staying power. You will learn about many common plants whose foliage is used as the foundation for many arrangements, which adds depth and interest to the bouquets. Learn which specific varieties do well in arrangements. Save money and enjoy growing your own flower bouquets. Purple orach, colorful amaranths, different alstroemerias, purple millet, peonies, long-stemmed roses, and many other garden gems will be discussed. A Nancy will share 25-plus years of knowledge on selecting and growing local cut flowers. Nancy has been involved with the UC Cooperative Extension trialing over a hundred kinds of flowers.
